Snakebite envenomation is a critical public health issue, affecting 1.8-2.7 million people worldwide annually and causing an estimated 138,000 deaths globally. India, with an average of 58,000 deaths each year, is among the most severely affected countries since a large population is in agriculture and outdoor occupations. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognized snakebite envenomation as a priority neglected disease in 2019, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention.

Inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Crohn’s disease (CD), lupus, and other immune-mediated disorders, affect millions of people worldwide. These chronic conditions arise from immune system dysregulation, leading to persistent inflammation, severe complications, and reduced quality of life. With a rising global prevalence, inflammatory diseases impose a significant healthcare and economic burden, driving up treatment costs and straining medical resources.
